As a trained chemist, Ute Stork is particularly fascinated by the opportunity to combine her curiosity for science and technology with legal reasoning, persuasive argumentation, and her linguistic skills. A key focus of her work lies in technical intellectual property rights – both in the grant procedure and in enforcement or defense against third-party claims. Early in her career, Ute Stork also developed a strong interest in trademark law. Among other contributions, she published an article on service marks in the retail sector and successfully secured one of the first color trademarks for a client. As a member of the International Trademark Association, she is internationally recognized and well-connected in this field as well. Thanks to her broad personal network and long-standing, trusted collaboration with partner firms in all major countries and markets, she offers clients from Germany and abroad comprehensive advice on intellectual property matters – in Germany, across Europe, and around the globe.

Ute Stork studied at the Technical University of Braunschweig, where she graduated with a degree in chemistry, and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. After her studies, she worked in product development and quality control at Worlée-Chemie GmbH. She joined the firm (formerly Wenzel & Kalkoff) in 1994 and has been a partner since 1998.
In her private life, Ute enjoys spending time with her husband and their four sons. In addition to her family life, she devotes herself in particular to her passion for singing in a choir. Through her enjoyment of linguistic-sports competitions, she became German orthographic and spelling champion.
